Congrats EB! What kind of music did you submit?
I've submitted in the past but got rejected. Maybe I'll try again. I can't do worse than with Crucial.

Just got 11 cuts on BeatPick. Only took a couple of weeks from the submission to contract to getting the music up. Might be a good time to submit?

Thanks for your response Davide. If you can work it so that those non-commercial clients get permission, but have to buy the track on iTunes or some where, then I'll stay in that program. Obviously, not every composer will have his tracks for sale retail, but for the ones that do, that would be a great option for us. I think that would be a better way to handle this than asking for donations.
It looks like 32 people have taken multiple tracks of mine (over a 100 tracks) without a single donation. The donation appeal obviously doesn't work, and yet we all know that every one of those people can afford 99 cents a track. At the very least, that's the way it should be. So if you can make that happen you might be the first to present that business model and you will make all your composers happier.
As it is now, over 100 tracks gone without any return at all is too much for my sensibilities. If I leave this program and other composers don't opt into it for the same reason, then that is worse for the non-commercial clients than if they just pay 99 cents a track, because they will lose many songs to pick from by being as cheap as they can possibly be. So, if you explain it to them like that, they will understand that it will be better for everybody.

By the way, for example, I think Rumblefish's "Friendly Music" charges 2 bucks a track for non-commercial projects. So, at the 99 cent rate, you would still be competitive with libraries like them. Please think about it and let me know if I have to opt out or not :)
Cheers.
