Hi Lee

When choosing the genres I do admit to struggling sometimes but the AS site has lots of instructions as to what kind of music you want in the genres. The info you have input in terms of demographic has been really useful to me when finding a fit particularly with some of the electro music but I find when I think in terms of the end user it is a bit more apparent which genre it belongs in

Please just make absolutely sure that the music you are putting under the corporate genre has a very polished sound and would truly be exceptional for corporate, business, and commercial uses. We don't want the value of the genre diluted by inappropriate or non-corporate-oriented music that is placed there just to try to get more sales. This is true for all genres on the site; make sure the music is absolutely appropriate for the genre, otherwise don't put it there. Thanks for your cooperation with this at all times.

Funny you should say that Art. The day before yesterday, I was averaging 26 plays a day for my under 50 tracks. I reclassified many to corporate and yesterday racked up 69 plays. Big difference. 20 of those plays were the ones I re-classified into the corporate genre. I have two more I'm doing the metdata on as we speak.
I'm finding that if I leave my ego at the door, I may do better.
Until now, I had somewhat of an aversion to putting my music in a corporate category. I got my first sale this week after only about 3 weeks and guess what....corporate sale.

I also think that the new(?) Corporate And Motivational genre will be a big help. I'm going to re-classify some of my stuff in that direction. Or at least use as a cross reference.

Great Stuff Art!

Strangely enough I have spent the past three days tidying up our AS account, getting rid of some tracks that were not up to the mark and editing the metadata. We have been with them over a year and not yet had a sale, but I still have faith in AS. I know the music is good and that the site gets plenty of traffic, we just haven't been getting enough hits. Having said that with the recent time I have put in on the administration side I have seen the daily hits go up from average of 6 a day to 50 a day so heres hoping we get that elusive first sale soon! Putting the cross refs in seems to have made a huge difference.

Non-exclusive. Reasonable to me would be at least a couple of hundred dollars a month with steady growth.

Congrats Art! Was that at AS as non-exclusive?
Also curious what you considered "lack of success" in terms of sales. What would you have considered reasonable?

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Audiosparx and everyone there. After my complaining about lack of success at AS the last couple of years the sales are starting to ramp up. The latest was for a TV commercial in Ireland of an Italian cue. If anyone is interested here's the link:

Thanks AS!

Thanks for the feedback, people. Indeed, Audiosparx seems to be totally on top of their game when it comes to customer interaction (based on my experiences so far), and that's suprising to me given the number of tracks they have in their database. So kudos to them on that! I'm definitely going to put at least several of my songs on Audiosparx. Personally, I'm hung up on the artist portrait part. I gotta get on top of that.

I'm trying to find another library to get into in addition to Audiosparx but haven't found one as good yet as far as pricing , overall layout and the personal help you get when you need it but haven't found it yet.
