Hijacking A Thread

I just wanted to say a few words about “hijacking a thread”. When the comments on a particular post wander away from the original intent of the post (usually about a particular music library) it’s commonly referred to as “hijacking a thread”. The problem becomes what to do with that thread. I try to move them to a more appropriate place on the site but it’s not always successful. The original intent can get lost and confuses many who were not privy to the original thread. I suppose this is a side effect of a dynamic conversation. Just be aware that if a thread starts “wandering” it will most likely get moved.
